I have arthritis and inflammation in my toes and chemo-induced neuropathy in my feet resulting in a lot of discomfort and minor balance problems. I do foot exercises and use a PEMF mat every day to manage the problem. This foot massager is not added to my regimen. The variety of vibrations and the multiple intensities available is awesome. I rotate through the modes of vibrations as I found that the response to any mode will change. At first I used the highest intensity possible, constantly increasing it thinking "more is better." But after a few days my feet were worse. So I switched back to a lower intensity. Currently, it's at 5 or 6. My feet and lower legs did not respond well to the gel pads, so I no longer use them. I'll try again later on. Overall, my discomfort has decreased. There are two problems with the remote. The battery compartment on my remote was upside down so it didn't work at all. It was extremely difficult to get the compartment open and impossible to put it back in the same position it came out. When I flipped the battery compartment, it was easy to slide in place and the remote worked. However, there is a flaw with the remote that I showed in the video I attached: The remote will not turn the device on initially. Turn it on manually, and then it will change modes and intensities and turn the unit off, AND it will not turn the unit on. If the device has been off about 10 minutes or so, it will no longer turn the device on. As I put the mat under my desk while working, it is inconvenient to turn it on manually. I emailed the company who promptly responded, but the replies showed that they didn't understand what the problem was even though I restated it several times and asked to send me a new remote -- they never replied to that request. I think there is a language issue. Maybe that is how the remote is supposed to work. I don't know.Aside from the remote issues, I'm happy with it.
